I phoned up today to get an repeat perscription and to book and appointment for my daughter. The receptionist could not have been more helpful. She was really friendly, reassuring and efficient. It is lovely to be dealt with by warm and friendly staff, particularly as they work in such a challanging and stressful environment. Thank you

I am sure it would be easier to get an audience with the Pope, than a face to face appointment at this surgery, although to be honest, I have heard numerous similar complaints regarding other Practitioners! Since the onset of the COVID epidemic, access to a doctor has been appalling. In fact, access to the surgery until quite recently is akin to accessing Fort Knox! It's shameful, and disappointing that over the last two years we have been able to access, and be served as usual in any supermarket of our choice, ( by staff on about eight pounds per hour), yet doctors have been conspicuous by their absence regarding our medical needs. It seems all consultations are at the end of a telephone now. Try reading a patients needs down a telephone line. What happened to the Hippocratic Oath? Sad, angry and disillusioned just about sums it up.

Do not use this surgery, they continually refuse to engage with consultants who ask them to prescribe medicines and ignore constant phone calls from consultants secretaries. They lie to patients and it would be less painful to extract your eye lashes one by one with a tweezers than having to deal with their continuing incompetence especially towards children!

Suggested improvements
Listen to your patients, call them back, answer letters written to you by consultants. If this was an isolated incident I would be less scathing, however it isn't. Sort your SOP's out and train your reception staff with manners.

Reception staff make you feel like you are an inconvenience. They continue their personal chatting while you stand at the counter, not even acknowledging you are there. When they do find time for you they are abrupt and unhelpful. Very poor customer service.

The service I received from Dr Pegman on Monday morning was brilliant. I was very poorly and she took control of the situation with calm and efficiency. She rang the hospital to book a bed and sent me straight to A & E where I was admitted for urgent respiratory treatment. Dr Pegman was very clear and made me feel so much better knowing I was getting the treatment I needed. Thank you.
