Probably the worst GP practice I have been with. The doctors are disinterested, can be very hostile, and seem not to care. They only seem interested in conditions where they make my money from the government for a diagnosis. Getting a referral to a specialist is almost impossible, and they procrastinate.
The admin staff appear unable to grasp even the simplest of instructions, and can be abrupt and rude if they are challenged.
They seem to lack compassion and empathy. They seem to have a high turnover of doctors.
Due to their disinterest, I suffered a medical emergency, which has left me disabled, and they have done nothing to help me.
Because this surgery might as well not exist as you can NEVER get an appointment.
I was satisfied for a few years with the occasions that I used the practice. However, recently I felt that incorrect assumptions were being and had been made. When I pointed this out, it was, I believe, perceived as heralding a complaint which was not my intention and I was polite in all communication. The way that I was spoken to when I was feeling low was clumsy, rude and unprofessional. I am not someone who is always at the surgery. I am only there when I have a reason. I would recommend that unsubstantiated, judgemental comments and assumptions which could prejudice future consultations not be recorded and that if there are concerns that a patient is disgruntled or there are other concerns that this is tackled adult to adult in a professional manner with any observer openly in the same room not an adjacent one and that it is not conducted when the patient is temporarily feeling a bit low. I have change practice.
I am sorry to read your review and if you would like to discuss your concerns I would be very happy to speak with you. I see that you have now changed practice and I am sorry to hear this. I hope that you will be happy at your new one. Practice Manager
For six years I have been a patient at the Sundridge Medical Centre, part of the Westerham Practice. Whereas I have received some limited care from a few of the staff (the good ones that have now left the practice), unfortunately, I have received an abysmal level of service overall. It was even necessary for me to write and complain to the so-called practice “manager” regarding the hostile, rude and abusive behaviour of the receptionist staff. The complaint was completely ignored. The most recent “doctors” have proven a complete waste of space. I am thoroughly disgusted with the generally poor standards of service at this practice. I have now transferred to an alternative local practice and oh what a difference!
