This is the second time I am writing a 1 star review and only the second time I have had telephone contact with this surgery in years.
I waited the usual month for my 10 minute telephone appointment to get results (which were all normal so could have simple been told to me by someone other than a doctor where maybe I didn’t have to wait a month).
I was on the phone for 2mins 17 secs when the doctor tried to rush me off the phone. I had another very small area of my health to discuss to be told by Dr Hesterman that there were lots of people waiting in the surgery and that I’d have to make another app to discuss it. I was absolutely fuming as I had waited all this time and only taken under 3 mins of the her time. I pay approx £480 NI a month, rarely even use the service and when I do this is the treatment I get. My whole family have experienced the similar mistreatment. My mum was fobbed off re: hip surgery so ended up paying privately for it. My sister was fobbed off about a cough about a year ago, given inhalers to later find out she had stage 4 lymphoma cancer. I am utterly disgusted that people who choose to work in the health care profession are some of the most rude people I have come across. At this surgery they lack complete empathy and rush you past like you do not matter. I completely appreciate the health service is short staffed but that doesn’t mean individuals should be treated like this. This is our health and ultimately our lives.
After the phone call I decided to begin registration with a new surgery that’s been recommended. I DO NOT recommend The Village Surgery AT ALL.
The place is clean and friendly staff
Very very rude Receptionist and Nurse. They all are not helping us . Nurse always with angry mood. Receptionist all are rude and Manage doesn’t take an action . Very very sad and disappointed.
Lovely place, just some staff not as lovely as others.
Only one complaint. My mother requires a wound on her ankle to be thoroughly checked and dressed once a week to prevent an ulcer. For some reason, and one I’ve not encountered before, the Practice Nurse does not do dressings. I am having to take my mother to the Walk-In Clinic at Finchley Memorial Hospital and sit and wait for 2 hours for a 5 minute dressing. Absolutely ridiculous. At my own surgery the Practice Nurse carries this out as a matter of course. I have also spoken to friends and colleagues non of whom have ever experienced this at their surgeries. Please look into. Many thanks
