To have a response from the telephone can take up to 40 minutes..you darent put phone down as you will go to back of the queue. Once through mostly there are no appointments , no telephone appointments .....and you are told to go through same procedure next day.
One is not allowed to book appointments more than two weeks ahead by which time list is full again
HAving got to speak or see the doctor...they invariably don’t know your history have not had time to look at your notes.....and are limited in time allocated.
There is no patient care.
At present it is even worse ...due to illness and you are required tohave a blood test to hopefully get some diagnosis you can then not get test done for three weeks..this is ridiculous. This is not the sAme the country over. If you wait 3 weeks for blood to be taken, then a few days for results....then yet again you battle to get a doctors appointment.
Receptionists reading and giving opinions on results is unacceptable, they are not medically trained,they do not understand patients history .
If they were to do a survey in this area I think they would find general dissatisfaction amongst people.
