Dear Patient, I understand the need for privacy at the reception desk. Unfortunately due to the openness of the reception desk sometimes it is difficult to have the privacy required for patients. I do however advise reception staff members to be discreet whenever possible. In regard to the decor within the surgery we have had the reception and clinical rooms painted and some new tables to make the reception area more inviting for patients. Thank you for your comments.
Trying to get through on the phone is almost impossible. I have just waited for 40 minutes (between 4.30-5.10) for someone to answer, I was in position 1 on the queuing system for over 15 of those minutes. This is not a one off, it is always very difficult to get through by phone.
I do have access to the online appointment booking system but when I tried to book an appointment for next week, there were no appointments available during the afternoon.
I know the surgery is busy with people coming in to speak to the receptionists but to me it makes sense to have 1 person who just mans the phones for the patients who need appointments.
Oh well now I have to wait until next Thursday for a phone appointment as it is my only morning off work and they don't do afternoon phone appointments!
I am very sorry that you have had difficulty getting through on the telephone. I have discussed your comments with the reception staff and although we are a busy practice we will always endeavour to answer all telephone calls quickly. I will look at adding more future appointments to the online booking system. The practice have 3 morning receptionists and the same for the afternoon's who all answer the phones and also see patients who come to the reception desk, and as a practice we feel that this means we can accommodate both more quickly. Telephone appointments are available on the afternoon with the doctor on-call. On behalf of the surgery i would like to apologise and as a practice we welcome all comments and will use them for discussion with the reception team.
The 'on the day' appointments are very difficult. Cannot get short term appointments. Telephone access is difficult. Phones not answered very quickly
The surgery has recently upgraded to a new telephone system. So far the feedback received from patients has been very positive. The new telephone system advises patients were they are in the queue and how long they have to wait for the call to be answered.
I have been a patient of this practise for 8 years. After suffering with back issues for many years it is only due to this practise I have now been diagnosed with my issue.
Although I predominantly see Dr Tricklebank, I belive all the doctors to be welcoming and generally concerned with my health.
Making an appointment is easy to do via the phone or via the reception staff (who are friendly and welcoming) and booking in is made easy with a touch screen monitor.
I have found it very rare that I am not seen on time.
The practise is always clean with leaflets and information easily available.
My only negative comment would be that I find Dr Sohail exuding negativity this I never see him.
By far this is the best practise I have been to and I would not leave now.
●Great care
●Great service
●Polite staff and Doctors
● Friendly staff and Doctors
Thank you for the lovely comments. I am sorry to read your comment in regard to Dr Sohail. I would like to say all clinicians within the practice care greatly and will make sure that the needs of patients are met. As a practice we aim to provide at all times excellent care and service. Again we would like to thank you for the lovely comments.
