Very busy receptionists probably due to the quality of doctors. These include two of the best doctors I have come across in 70 years - caring, acting far beyond the norm. The others I have seen have also been good though one might just be a bit harsh with hypochondriacs. Waiting times vary from a day to, for one doctor, weeks. In case of emergency I have never had to wait more than an hour or so. My normal doctor knows me by name, my history, probably my diet and exercise routine without having to look at notes and can make decisions accordingly.
