Most of the receptionists are delightful and helpful but we always wait on that dreadful phone line in fear of getting the unpleasant unhelpful curt one.
The phone lines need massive improvement. However, when you get a lovely receptionist it makes the wait almost worthwhile. When you actually do get to see a doctor, they are usually very knowledgeable and helpful but getting through is one of the most stressful processes we have ever encountered. No wonder A&E at NWP is so busy as patients are so ill by the time you get through, if you do get through.
Would really like to thank the GP and Nurse that came to Bedford , seeing them on one knee singing "get me to the church on time " to help relax someone for a blood test was great ,wish I had filmed it for YouTube. Joe
The service provided is good with the front office staff going over and above to help out. The opening days and hours are unrivaled.
Most of the GP's are very helpful and professional, give excellent attention and time. Unfortunately some of the established male GP's show little empathy, humility or compassion.
After a recent appointment in a different department I received a letter from the hospital over a month ago arranging for me to be seen urgently by one of their Orthopaedic colleagues. Still in excruciating pain and not wanting to waste a GP’s appointment I called the hospital and spent over 2 hours this morning trying to get in contact with anyone in either of the two departments who could help me. Disappointing no one could, so I called the surgery ........ within 10 minutes of the call I had a call back and some positive news along with a number to ring in the next few days if it all goes quiet again. I was so very very grateful not sure if I can mention her name but the receptionist knows who she is I would like the practice to recognise her professionalism and care.
I had an op at nwp 3 years ago. Since then my life has been in tatters. The op went wildly wrong and left me with brain damage plus Tourette’s plus no thyroid and autoimmune disease. This was then covered up by the team at nwp. The Pinn have not supported me on this at all. I have lost my job and am in agony 24/7. I have turned to drink to self medicate. They just look at me as an alcoholic which is far from truth. I had bleeding quite severe last night and they refused home visit. Basically I am being left to die
