The most awful experience in my life!
I am writing to share my deeply disappointing experience during my recent visit to Loxford Practice. My encounter left me feeling unheard, mistreated, and disheartened by the lack of understanding and empathy displayed by the GP I was seen. The doctor name was
Dr Vijaya Pothora.
Upon arriving at the practice, I was immediately made to feel uncomfortable when I was told to breastfeed my 10-week-old son in a special room rather than in the presence of her. This demand contradicted the widely accepted norm in England, where nursing in public is both customary and respected. This incident not only left me feeling embarrassed but also raised concerns about the practice's sensitivity to the needs of nursing mothers. It was even needed to be seen how my little one is nursing and behaving after eating in order to diagnose reflux. She prescribed something without even carefully investigate my son. I have read the leaflet of the medicine she prescribed to my son that it should be administered to 1 year old or above!!!
Furthermore, I was taken aback by her questioning regarding my appointment's urgency and my reason for being late. Instead of approaching the situation with empathy and concern for my son's well-being, I was made to feel as if my valid concerns were being dismissed or questioned.
I believe that every patient deserves to be treated with respect, empathy, and professionalism, regardless of their circumstances. It is disheartening that my experience at Loxford Practice failed to meet these basic expectations. I will be needed to look for another practice as this is highly unacceptable.
I sincerely hope that my feedback will prompt a reevaluation of the practice's policies and staff training, so that future patients are treated with the consideration and understanding they deserve. No parent should have to endure such a distressing encounter during a vulnerable time.
There is an obvious huge demand for services offered by the practice and as such, there are usually very long telephone queues before you can speak to a receptionist and by this time your GP would have no bookings available for the day. It would be convenient for patients if consideration be given for bookings to be made in advance. This will help to reduce the long wait for scheduling appointments.
Either when I go to the surgery or telephone and am dealt with by Zaib Alnisa she is always helpful in dealing with my queries. She is also a very polite lady.
Because Miss Zaib Alnisa gave me very good service she has provided me all the information that I have asked for. She very politely treated me. She is excellent.
Because everytime I visit the surgery I find the staff polite helpful and efficient. I have many health conditions and I come across with problems that I do myself regarding my health conditions. I find all the staff very helpful all the time and the Doctors especially Dr Gill. However may I point out the problems that I experienced regarding my health queries on many occasions when visiting the surgery at front desk Ive delt with ms Asma Dadaboy on front desk/ admin, who has always solved my queries and assisted with sorting out my admin letters and mobility to get to and from the hospital which she has been efficient sorting out for me I thank her for that and also the staff the good work they do especially in the pandemic we are all experiencing.
