Appalling Surgery. No Appoinments No Doctors No answering phones. Disgrace.

Selective who they let book appointments and when, reception awful to get past, seem to think they’re the doctors but then they’re not medically trained when you ask their advice when you can’t get an appointment. You ring from 830, as advised because you can’t go in to book apparently (even though I’ve seen people doing this too) get through straight away, they answer at 834 and say all the appointments have gone for the whole day (the same thing every day for 8 working days now - they open at 830) there’s only two doctors in who leave at 3 pm, when the surgery is open until 6/630, but there are apparently 5 receptionists working who have given all the appointments out for a whole day after 4 minutes - they can go home then and save the nhs money because their jobs are done 5 minutes into the day. They do nothing else but speak to patients like dirt all day. And please don’t get me started on if you can actually get an appointment....then you have to get the doctor to stop presuming and actually listen! They ignore you to the point you end up seriously ill. Pointless, needs investigating. Some rules for some, others for others. Told no flu jab appointments and offered no alternative callback dates for when there will be. I have even been told to ‘shut up’ by one receptionist when explaining why I was calling. Equality and discrimination spring to mind here. Absolutely awful. There is one decent nurse and one decent permanent male locum, the rest need retraining on bedside manners - speaking from a psychologist who used to be a nurse themselves.

Suggested improvements
Retrain staff in bedside manners. Not be so rude to people who are clearly ringing because they are unwell. Treat all patients equally. Stop lying to patients about test results/appointments/how many doctors are available and when. Get some better reception staff or warn and retrain them all (again, there is one lovely receptionist with brown hair and glasses, the rest are rude, incompetent and aggressive).
