I've been part of this surgery for around a year; my repeat meds get approved in usually 24 hours, my econsult requests are responded to the same day or next day if its later, and I can get an appointment quite easily. My gp manages my conditions very well and listens to me, taking into account what I feel and think. Sometimes there's a wait on calls but I just call back later or wait. Lots of illnesses are still around so can't expect there to be no queue when calling. Everyone is super friendly, and I've always had a good experience here ☺️ thanks all!

This surgery serves 17000 people. It has degenerated into a bureaucratic nightmare where regulations have taken precedence over serving the public. Today - May 20th - I was told that the earliest I could see a doctor would be in June. That says it all. I am seventy two and I might well be dead before I can get an appointment. I am not qualified to diagnose my own condition, so I can only hope that I will not have to be admitted to A&E.

Suggested improvements
Allow patients to see doctors without having to navigate the nightmare of nursing staff who appear to regard themselves as gatekeepers.

I went to this surgery in June this year. I had returned to the UK from the Arab Gulf to arrange my mother's funeral, and I required a repeat prescription. I was literally refused entry to the building. The so-called receptionist was adamant that I should phone through my request, despite being told that my Arab Gulf phone only received calls and could not send them in the UK.

Suggested improvements
Fire the receptionist.

I have waited up to five weeks to see a Dr there attitude is manily that they are doing you a favour they are neglectful in sending letters to hospitals to see a consoltant the practise manager is rude and arrogant no help atall they cut corners on medication prescribing drugs that are cheap and nasty that if you should Experiance any bad reaction too they show very little to no interest and tell you that you can't have what you want but what your given even if it makes you I'll or sick you will be dismissed read on line regarding this practise many bad reviews how they get past the inspectors I really don't know I personally would like to speak with the inspector showing them facts backed up by documents there must be better practises in this aria this is one to give a miss the GMC should become involved here is this what the N H S has become no help no servise completely unsatisfactory it's all very upsetting and sad needs investigating

My experience of Fryern surgery has been a very negative one. Having battled with some quite serious symptoms for a number of months, the doctor had taken it lightly, and suggested it was stress. It is only when I changed my doctors a month ago that I was diagnosed with blood disease, and if it was caught sooner, it would have been easily curable. I am devastated. The receptionists here are not well versed in customer care and have given false information over the phone. Patient care is very minimal here, and I would certainly not recommend this surgery to anyone.
