I always get prompt attention. The surgery has an excellent triage system so that you can get seen the day you telephone if you need to be seen urgently.. There are some first class doctors here and excellent nurse practioners who can prescribe or refer you for treatment.

Unless really urgent all surgery appointments have to first be made via a telephone appointment with a GP so this generally means waiting at least a week before a telephone appointment is available for a brief telephone consultation. Whilst booking a telephone call for say 8.01 am that will not be the time of the call - it may occur any time from then until 12.30 pm so effectively the patient has to wait primed by their (hopefully charged up) phone for up to 4.5 hours essentially putting all other activities on hold pending the call. Today I missed a call by one ring and had a further wait of 2.5 hours for a call back. Further you may find that you are travelling on the tube with no phone reception, in a meeting or open plan office with no opportunity for a discreet conversation and whilst it may work for the surgery, it very often proves impractical for the patient. With postgraduate qualifications in management I really don't consider this to be either an effective or efficient practice for utilising scarce GP resources or taking into account the needs of the patient.

My husband and I saw Nurse Trixie today who gave us injections for our holiday. She was very efficient and friendly. Fortunately we do not have the need to visit the surgery very often but we have both seen various doctors over the years and we cannot recommend the surgery enough.

I was able to register and be seen on the same day after suffering a very painful UTI. My doctor (Dr. Sarah Morris) was patient and extremely attentive, with excellent communication skills who made the follow up steps clear. She also offered long term solutions to a chronic condition as well as treating my immediate symptoms. The receptionists and triage nurse were equally as good.
