I made calls every morning at 8 am for four days and I was waiting for an appointment for my son. The day one they have given me an appointment with a pharmacist whereas the GP instructed me that she need to see my son in one month and one2one in a month's time. I re-attempted to get an appointment with the doctor on the next day but they refused to give me an appointment claiming that they do not have appointments even without taking a second to see the system to check the availability she said that she can recall me that I was calling yesterday and because of that I am not entitled to another appointment. This is clearly discrimination. The lady was rude and unhelpful to me. She asked if I had called yesterday and immediately told me that we did not have any appointments available meaning she has not even looked at her screen but decided that I am a pain for her. I was taken aback by the way she addressed me. Very poor service. Receptionists are extremely rude to patients.
I am no longer with the callowland surgery and the brilliant dr Wendy levison. She was a great doctor. I now live in Norfolk and have a great doctor, but doc you will always be the best.

I have been with the callowland surgery for many years now and as A family we fortunately do not often need to visit doctors however recently I’ve experienced huge problems with service I’ve received on my own visits and my sons visit.
My experience- being referred for tests of all kinds from my doctor I was told to make appointment with nurse which receptionist booked for me only to find (on the day of visit) the nurse wouldn’t carry out test and I was sent away worrying and without tests done
My son - booking an appointment for a vaccine, receptionist made appointment. At the appointment the nurse told me I had to check if he had 100% not had vacation at school and gave me an email then said once they had confirmed that it would be ‘no problem and she would definitely administer’. I was a little concerned that his doctor didn’t have his full medical records . I spent the time backwards and forwards to get confirmation that he hadn’t had it but finally got the email to say he hadn’t so called nurse directly to rearrange another appointment At this appointment he was once again refused the vaccine.
My issue is this , why waste our time and the appointment time at the surgery. A simple telephone call to cancel and explain would have been appreciated. Instead we visited on 3 occasions between us to sit in a waiting room and wasted 3 appointments. The lack of communication is unreal and leads to very frustrated patients and as I say completely wasted appointments.
Never fails to deliver - always helpful. Light years removed from what it used to be!
Awful women on reception unhelpful and ignorant and so rude to patients I was so shocked at the way they spoke to people. Doctors always run behind even when you have the first appointment so they must arrive late which explains why they only give you 30 seconds to speak. I will be travelling half an hour to go back to my old surgery just to interact with a nice human being!
