Just made a phone call to this surgery on behalf of a vulnerable elderly person who explained she had been trying to get through all day about something very important and relating to surgery she had yesterday. When I joined the queue I was position 5. 40 minutes later I was still at queue position 3. At 1 HOUR 17 MINUTES I was still at queue position 2 and I realised the phone call at this rate was unlikely to be answered for another 30 minutes. If at all. In fact I believe they don’t answer the phone at all and the only reason you move queue position is that people give up and put the phone down. I did not get through and have screenshot the time waiting as evidence. I am thoroughly disgusted as well as upset that this poor woman has been let down by the staff at this surgery so badly. Completely unacceptable. I shall try to go in there tomorrow for her as she is unable to go online. It is not acceptable for any surgery staff to not answer the phone and expect people to go online. This person is elderly and has arthritis. My surgery which is just as busy and not far from here takes a maximum of 5 minutes to answer the phone. 0 out of 5 is all I can say.

Suggested improvements
Answer the phone and provide an adequate level of care for all patients but especially the elderly and vulnerable. Not all have access to a computer or can use it.

Shambolic organisation and administration, you can almost guarantee that they will get multiple stages of each enquiry wrong. Their website is terrible, just phone them instead. The GP I had was dismissive, he seemed to be convinced from the outset that I was a hypocondriac and a time waster. Avoid this place like the plague because that's probably what you'll catch if you trust your healthcare to them.

Much more interested in saving their budget than providing medical care. 'No plasters' resulted in infected foot. Lack of interest in symptoms lead to 18 month undiagnosed fibroids and polyps.
