The problem is the Reception team at this surgery. They are hostile to enquiries which require more than yes or no answers. They lose letters. They lose prescriptions. They dislike people who reasonably demand more of them. The practice manager creates a fiction to such complaints that bear no relation to the actual complaint made and tries to put responsibility back on the patient ( who is normally vulnerable). Most of the Clinical staff are professional, but there are some exceptions. The surgery is in a nice location and is well organised, but if you challenge them they are very unhelpful. Really can't recommend if you are ill and need sensitive care.

I have been registered at this practice for just over 20yrs and during that time I have seen great changes, expansion and more importantly improvement. The service I have always received has always been of the highest quality of care, not just by the GP's but the Practice Nurses and Reception staff too. I worked as a Dr's receptionist for a number of years and know the difficulties they face every day, yet at Birdhurst Surgery they are always polite and helpful. My daughter usually sees Dr Doyin whom we both think very highly of, upon each appointment she always takes time to enquire about other family members, no matter how busy her schedule is, and that proves to me what a great family doctor we are lucky to have.

I have used this surgery for a number of years now .. I have always had good care by the g.p I see and the reception staff are always very busy but I seem to always get good care. I no a lot of people moan about the reception staff but I for one have found them to be a nice bunch of people at this surgery ....

After trying all creams for my daughters eczema. I finally landed on one that helped cleared all of and wanted a repeat prescription to totally eliminate her eczema and the doctor won't prescribe it. I was very upset because as her mum I knew exactly what works on her skin as all other creams were not helpful at all. I was very upset as the cream I had previously had all run out and her skin Coul break out again. I am totally going to go back to my old surgery as I have not had the best care in the particular one. I would never recommend this gp to anyone

I have been attending this practice since 1994. I have always found the doctors and other medical staff including the receptionists to be very attentive to my needs, since I am a wheelchair user
