It is a shame to have to write this as in general some of the doctors are really very helpful, knowledgeable and efficient, as are the receptionists. However, it seems that it is impossible to see the same doctor twice if you have an ongoing condition. I had an illness that lasted 10 weeks, visited the surgery once a week or so during that period, and had no continuity of care, with each doctor seemingly disagreeing with the previous doctors advice. Having recovered I made a written complaint to the Practice Manager, I received no acknowledgement, so took in the same letter 4 weeks later, and a year after the event have still had no return correspondence. During the period of illness, I saw Dr McAllister who was absolutely brilliant, and who requested that I see her again a week later, it was impossible to book an appointment. Having visited the new surgery today, I have to say I am impressed, and the doctor I saw was great, however I don't envisage the general health provision improving.

Dr Crane was an excellent GP and by far the best, who has unfortunately disappeared. However other Doctors are usually friendly and efficient and caring, particularly Dr Dollery although she is not there much. Can be difficult to get appointments with doctor of your choice. Receptionists/admin staff usually helpful and friendly and nurses are also normally very good and very friendly. The doctors that I have seen usually don't try and rush me out the door within 5/10 minutes, they actually spend time with you and investigate properly (usually!) Too many new doctors, so there is a lack of consistency.

Despite the changes happening at the surgery, the staff still give you time to discuss your issues. The staff who run the surgery and reception are also very helpful. What I find quite difficult particularly with my health issues is that I no longer have the raptor that I had but they do there best no matter what.

Having moved to the are 3 yrs ago i have not used the surgery often however i can state that Drs hunt & Alloa were very attentive and professional at what they did. On the other hand when i had an appointment made to see a Dr Bhima i was not impressed to be told i have 5 minutes and also that she did not want to discuss more than the one issue i had and to make further appointments for each issue. Subseqently I attended the springfield medical centre ( i had a small payment to make) but my issues were treated very quickly to my satisfaction and surgery which was required, all sorted in a total of 5-6weeks from my 1st visit to conclusion. It was fast/effectively/ and could NOT fault my treatment. My point is why did i have to take these steps as if i proceeded as instructed i would still be making visits to surgery now as opposed to having a conclusion?

During the 40 years that I have been a patient at Danbury Medical Centre I have found the doctors consistently helpful and doing their best so would like to thank the surgery as the pressures that they are under are intense.
