I had to wait 50 minutes before and was seen. This is the longest time I have ever waited to see a G.P. The doctor I saw is a good doctor, and apologised for the wait (which) he need not have done. I knew it was -is- first the way things are). I mentioned the period of time I had waited not as an accusation, but first as a fact, as it was relevant to how unwell I was, and the pain I was in. ( I had waited most of the time outside the surgery, Tv arrived having to listen to the 'music'' in the waiting room. To me it is the most appalling assault on my service. I call it "wailing". An unfortunately consequence of sitting outdoors is that it was windy, and a hair blew into my eye. It was extremely painful.

With regards to the issue with the music, the music is played to try and keep the conversations in Reception/Dispensary as confidential for our patients. I'm not one for writing reviews however after moving to Sherborne three years ago my family and I joined The Apples Surgery after being recommended by other local patients for its personal and understanding of different health matters. During our time using the surgery my family and I have been seen by Dr Miles and Dr Morris of whom I cannot speak highly enough - It doesn't matter what the problem is they will take time to explain and to help every individual in anyway they can. I cannot rate this surgery highly enough. Outstanding.

Would have been five stars throughout however the receptionist to whom I spoke on the telephone questioned my request not to see a particular doctor and then proceeded to tell me that my views were incorrect. I have had to sign up for remote booking - less availability? So that I do not need to speak with this particular receptionist again. Previous encounters have been great but this has knocked my confidence in the team.
