One of the worst places to go if you are unwell. The receptionists hate people, are unhelpful, unapproachable and rude. Getting an appointment is impossible and their online booking system doesn’t work. I have now left this surgery to prevent my poor health from deteriorating further.
Was sent a text message informing me to get in touch with GP for the results of a X-ray. Spent 1hour and 30 minutes on the phone only to have someone on the other end to hang up on me .. next day after 3 attempts got through to one of the receptionist only to be told that they couldn’t give me a telephone appointment.. But was informed that I could use the app to book appointments.. Tried that No telephone appointment.. Is this the service that this surgery offers then it is no wonder it is in the bottom 10 of surgeries in SE London ..
First come first serve appointment system which the extremely rude receptionists are more than happy to aggressively inform you of.
Been trying for 3 weeks to get a telephone appointment and I must say that it's easier for my dog to get an appointment with the pdsa.
The lack of concern that they show thier registered patients is appalling and makes me wonder just what it is they practice at the Sydenham green group practice???
The receptionists are rude, unhelpful, unapproachable, dismissive and patronising. They speak with a tone and do not listen. Frequently, conversations are frustrating and the receptionists regularly exchange glances when you speak to them.
The nurse behaved dreadfully. Just before I was about to have my smear test, she accused me of being rude, having an attitude and taking out my frustrations about the receptionists on her. I most certainly did not. I tried to tell her that but she just kept talking over me. She said she would not see me if I continued to have attitude. Bewildered I picked up my bag and walked out. She called out after me stating that I could take 5 minutes to calm down and come back in if I wanted to. What a joke!
I have a hidden disability and because I am vulnerable at the best of times, I try my hardest to avoid stress at all costs. Distressed, angry and confused, I left the GP practice feeling far worse off than when I had arrived. My symptoms flared up for several days after and my medical needs were not met.
It’s so frustrating even talking to the receptionist who has a chip on the shoulder.
She’s been fully trained for being rude to other people.
