Requested a letter to cover controlled medication for a trip abroad. Not only did it cost £45.00 but they failed to list the main medication meaning my wife was unable to take it with her to manage pain. This is typical of the surgery, the Dr's never understand simple requests and misquote what they have been told. We got a better service in Portugal with a complete language barrier.

Employ Drs that can communicate and that actually read medical notes whether that be from the doctors or hospital admissions.

I have tied to use consult, but says no longer accepting these. I called the surgery to see if any available appointments, but was told no would have to ring the next morning. I asked about econsult and was told, by the very unhelpful person on the phone, that it is switched off at 8 am and reopens at midnight! What’s the point of that? I have used econsult previously and there was no such restriction,. I do t know about any other patients, but I feel this surgery has really gone downhill.

Sort the above out.

Trying to say something positive about this practise really does test one’s rationale.

Amongst other medical issues and working full time I don’t expect having to waste time reapplying for items on my prescription because they are declined. E.g. I requested an Aerochamber which has been prescribed by the asthma nurse twice and is recommended to be used with the prescribed medication yet the meds are authorised but the plastic chamber is not authorised. If you don’t have the chamber (I’ve had 2 in 3 years and they’re supposed to be replaced 6 monthly) surely the meds aren’t being used to their full effect. What are these people thinking?

Trying to make an e consult after 5pm to be informed you have to make it after midnight as they are not accepting anymore for today. Ok sick people can only be sick between office hours or the time that suits the Pratice. Surely you can accept requests and then sort through when next at work. This is not acceptable a simple request now takes days to action. Half the time you attend the surgery it’s empty but apparently really busy. I want a prescription as it has to come from a doctor and it takes me days of not weeks to get it sorted. Are we a third world country?

Accepting e consults through out the day to make the people which actually work for a living and pay there national insurance the option to get medication.
