I used to love this surgery, after two poor experiences is has changed my views. One was a receptionist who I found rude and unhelpful whilst on the phone, even after making sure I was extra polite and showing my gratitude for what they were doing for me, I felt like the response was poor and they didn’t want to communicate. The second poor experience, whilst waiting in the waiting room, the receptionist on that day, called Gemma, was on the phone clearly to a patient and was repeating the patient’s name, address and then speaking clearly whilst reading out their test results. This has made me lose faith in the practice as I would personally be disgusted to think a receptionist was speaking clear enough for the waiting room to know who they are talking to and giving results. Confidentiality is one of the biggest aspects of that profession and I was really disappointed. On the up though most of the reception staff are lovely, especially a lady calls Alison. She always goes the extra mile to help. The doctors are also very friendly and conscientious.
