I have commented on this site before, and for me nothing has changed. I can only enforce how helpful the receptionists are. When you consider the size of the surgery and how many individuals are seen, they do not have time to phone everyone to let you know your prescription needs to be reviewed, hence the doctor recording on your prescription, that your medication needs to be reviewed before another prescription will be issued. We have a responsibility to take note of this and comply with doctors advice, however frustrating this may be. I usually see Dr Bilargi, who I can thoroughly recommend. her compassion and honesty is refreshing. I have Terminal Pulmonary Fibrosis and Dr Bilargi really does do everything she can to help both my family and myself and for me she is a credit to the surgery and this gives me faith that when my time comes, she will be there offering her support to meet my needs. Thank you to her and everyone who works so hard at Sunbury Health Centre.

put in a repeat prescription request 4 days ago. went to get it today..note on the system to say won't issue it until a review has been had..kicked up and stood my ground and got a prescription, but only for 1 - so cost me money!!.. However BIG question..if prescriptions won't be issued for whatever reason WHY can't they call you and tell you that asap, so that you can make arrangements to see them WHY wait til you come in??? surely it would make more sense and be customer service, or would they rather someone end up in hospital or worse??.. oh a extra footnote, when the progress of the presecription was checked earlier on in the week they didn't mention that they weren't going to issue it!!!!.. very unimpressed.

I visited the surgery today with my 4 year old daughter after making an appointment- we waited in the waiting from for an hour before we were seen! The doctor was fine and dealt with the issues raised although has told me I need to return for a further appointment. She told me she was now allowed to make the follow up appointment as she had been "told off" for doing so and I had to make an appointment on the day. This would be fine if it is was not so difficult to get an appointment in the first place. I understand people not attending for appointments has a massive impact but the system does not seem to work very well at the moment. After my appointment I went to reception to try to change an appointment for my husband. The doctor had a telephone appointment with him following previous face to face appointments and had a booked a further appointment for next week. The receptionist was quite curt in her response when I said the doctor had booked an appointment and was not happy that I was trying to change it. I was told I could not change it as all prebooked were taken now so he would have to phone on the day. I asked if the doctor could then give my husband a call. Although not appearing to be happy she took the details. Further to this the doctor had asked that I leave at reception details for a repeat prescription. The receptionist refused to take them and said that my husband could tell her on the phone the following day. I accept he can do this but did not think it was appropriate for her to refuse when this had specifically been asked for. I found her to be quite rude.

Visited today by appointment, but also enquired about having my ears checked since I wear hearing aids. Receptionist was extremely helpful and the situation sorted. After a very satisfactory meeting with Dr Chapman, saw the same receptionist to book a blood test. Again she was extremely helpful. Great first contact with this centre, having recently moved into the area!

1. The receptionist's are always polite, helpful and efficient. 2. Appointments are usually available on the day, but it does involve going to the Health Centre early in the morning, however, this is probably difficult for older patients to get to the Health Centre at that time of the day.The growth in population in the area due to new property developments is cause for concern and I feel that the service provided may be at breaking point due to the large number of patients on the register which I understand is in the region of 19,000.There at least two large developments in progress in the area and others in the pipeline and I feel that additional medical resources should be put in place to meet both the current and future demand. 3. Patient care - I have always found this to be excellent not only for myself but other members of my family during the past 39 years, and in this respect I commend and thank all the doctors, nurses and administration staff (both past and present) Finally, please do allow this excellent service to deteriorate due to a lack of medical resource and facilities in the Sunbury area.
