This service offered is a joke ! It is geared up for all the lazy gets that don't work please explain that if you working how the hell you are meant to drop everything and run to the surgery for this same day appointment ? You can't always just say to your employer oh I need to go like ' now' Impossible !! shouldn't the government take into consideration that it's all the working people's money that's keeping the non workers living the working class should have some priority . The majority of the time the doctors haven't the time to listen to you and they are misdiagnose you and missing key parts of serious health issues so sad that in this day in age that it has comes to this do yourself a favour and don't be ill in this country as nobody cares everyone is so selfish and only interested in themselves. It will come shortly that it's self service at the desk pointless having receptionist they do nothing anyway, hard faced, don't listen, very rude , and know everything about nothing . So note to self go to another practice as strathesk is terrible !! Or go private .

Rude abrupt staff cant get through until 0905 no matter how often you redial. Cant get follow up appts despite being diagnosed with a condition. I had been discharged from hospital after having sepsis of my kidneys was still unwell and asked for house call, only to be refused after telling receptionist i was still unwell. I ended up having to drive down where i was seen eventually by Dr Dyson, i was still in sepsis and needed further treatment and antibiotics. She was shocked at my treatment by reception and encouraged me to put in a complaint. This place is a shambles.

The surgery is a joke I tried to get through to make an appointment on a recent Tuesday morning after redialling 211 times on my mobile I got through at 9.04am to be told there's no appointments left for today . Eventually later in that day i phoned back again hoping to get by way of a miricale an appointment to be told you have to phone again in the morning unless it was an emergency I can't say that until I see doctor !!!!!! So to avoid sitting by my phone again the following morning I said it was an emergency . I had to have urgent tests to rule out cancer!!!! But couldn't get appointment in the end I gave up as wasn't getting anyway in regards to tests and results so I went to a private hospital and had treatment there I would never recommend this surgery it's a disgusting no respect care or compassion or commitment to the patients

Was a great community Drs now don't know many of the Drs. The appointment system is a disgrace and penalises working people who can't take the day off to get an appointment, reception staff are rude and unhelpful.

This is a surgery with good people working there under a lot of stress. The negative review fails to put things in the proper perspective. Bonnyrigg is a town that has quite literally doubled in size in less than 10 years. The infrastructure is not there to cope with the huge, consistently increasing population. Unsurprisingly, the effects of not synchronising the growth of the support services with the population growth are that it can be difficult to get an appointment. But that is not the fault of the staff. They are trying their best. I for one admire them and appreciate the care my family has received when we have needed them.
