JUST TO ADD ON/UPDATED FROM A MONTH AGO.. Today's date..1404/2023 This is my last prescription from this 'hell hole' that calls itself a surgery!! I could not be more pleased to leave this place!! Yet again like EVERY 2 WEEKS over the past YEAR, (from August 2022 when I 'had' to join this place) they have messed up my prescription's and WITHHELD FROM ME medication's that have dangerous withdrawal symptoms! This leads me to having convulsions/ fit's, confusion and frustration and severe depression! It has driven me to spiral and have savage thought's pretty much EVERY 2 WEEKS FOR NEARLY A YEAR!!.. Passed around from one Dr to another like NO ONE person has the time or care to actually listen to me or help me Whatever the reason's, their treatment toward's me has been disgraceful. I will not accept this treatment!! Any appointment's have alway's been through phone call's, and the last time it was an absolutely disastrous video call with a condescending and patronising Dr X, who had the audacity to roll her eyes at me from the things I was saying. Told me I "should be self medicating better!" To prove a point that I am not a pill popping drug user, I refused to take any medication for a mnth. I have lost all trust, faith and confidence in all Dr's because of such a traumatising year! I am autistic and literally took her words as law! She broke me!!! They also withheld my inhaler's until I went to see the breathing nurse. What they do not understand, despite me telling them over and over, is that I have severe anxiety and agoraphobia and I am now sooo traumatised by this place I cannot even walk through the doors. So now I can't breath either! Thanks a bunch for a whole lot of nothing!!! ..TERRIBLE PRACTICE!! You will NEVER get the chance to make me feel this small, worthless and unheard EVER AGAIN !! I ADVISE ANYONE LOOKING FOR A DR'S TO LOOK ELSEWHERE! THEY DO NOT CARE HERE!!!!

Suggested improvements
Treated me with respect instead of simply judging me by medications I DO NOT EVEN CHOOSE TO BE ON! You made me feel worthless. Inhumane treatment!!

I have been at this practice for 10 years and I have never had a problem getting an appointment. The doctors are very friendly and listen to you. You never feel like you're being rushed out the door as I have in a previous surgery. The reception staff are brilliant. They will always do their best to get you the care that you need or offer advice on how to get this. Would definitely recommend this practice and I will not be moving from this one if I can help it.

Suggested improvements
They are doing the best they can so no recommendations.

Absolutely appalled by the reception staff. I’ve spoken to children with better manners than these people, and this isn’t JUST on the phone, when you go in, the receptionist is always round the back talking about her nails and relationship issues. I had to wait 10 minutes for her to finally decide to come back out and do her job. The nhs is underfunded and under pressure, and people like this DONT HELP. They don’t seem to have much customer care and services experience, and don’t like their job.

I have been a patient for over 4 years. I have knowledge of the other local practices through friends and relatives and I can say that St Neots is at the top in all ways that really matter. The decor is shabby chic (but without the chic lol) but this is understandable as they are due to move to a new custom built surgery across the road. Being sick will almost be a pleasure! All the practice doctors and nurses are very efficient and helpful and there is a continuity of treatment whoever you see The Reception Staff....I know of at least one local practice where you need to run the gauntlet to get past the reception staff who appear obstructive in every way. NOT SO AT ST NEOTS.... The reception staff are professional and helpful and yet friendly at the same time. They are really good at putting you at ease. The only "fault" I can find is that it can be difficult to get a quick appointment at times. That fault should be directed more towards the NHS system as a whole rather than this one excellent surgery. Even here the reception staff will bend over backwards to help, offering telephone appointments and trying to squeeze you in if it is urgent. So , my one star off perfection is no reflection on this team of dedicated professionals to whom I have the greatest respect
