The surgery has eleven GP's including two GP registrars who work five days per week. Only one GP works full-time and the remainder work two to three days per week only. I waited three weeks for the first appointment to see my doctor and I was able to accept any day, any time. How long do working people have to wait? I think that is far too long for a routine appointment. I checked the other doctors availability and it was not much better.

I hardly complain and feel awful writing this but I feel like I need to get it off my chest. I am usually so impressed with this surgery and love seeing the receptionists as they seem so jolly. However, my doctor said I was only allowed to discuss one thing at a time with her and suggested I make two appointments. I called to book two appointments, back to back so that I did not have to make two trips instead of one. The receptionist said this was not allowed and that I had to make two separate appointments that are days apart. I did not see why this was such an issue but it had to be done. I mentioned I worked between 7am and 4pm and could only attend an appointment after 4pm. I then asked when Dr Drewry could see me and she said there are no appointments for Dr Drewry after 4pm. I now have to wait until October half term (I am a teacher) to see my doctor for an ongoing mental health issue. I am quite disappointed but I like Dr Drewry so I guess I have to suck it up.

Absolutely first class practice. If all NHS surgeries matched this one- there would be NO complaints!!

A first class practice with excellent care. The doctors all take time and patience and give clear advice. Something went wrong with my referral to the local Choose and Book service recently and I spent hours on the telephone getting nowhere. After Dr Whiter spoke to them they were on the 'phone immediately offering me an appointment at the local hospital the next day.
