I call every morning at 8am trying to get an appointment but the answer machine is always saying that my , "call cannot be completed at this moment. Please try again later." I risk not knowing when to call or if I call if the appointments are all booked. I had issues with the reception is the past where they've been acted disappointedly towards my uncle who wanted to join and didn't speak English. I went with him to translate and I told this to the reception before we started to discuss anything . The receptionist after I explained everything and given her all the paperwork needed asked if he was legally allowed to register , after I explained everything I'm English of his current situation and that he is legally required to register to a practice. I chose to ignore it but then she know that my uncle who doesn't speak English and that I was to translate asks loudly in broken English if he knew if he was in the UK legally. I was both offended and angry. Firstly , he has no hearing problem, so saying it loudly isn't doing anything, it's just intimidating to him when your acting to be better than him. Secondly , I explained the situation and presented her with the legal paperwork and nessessary information to rpove that his can and needs to register to a practise. If there was any confusion, I don't understand why she didn't ask me to either answer or translate. It was so embarrassing for my uncle and I felt racially discriminated. The practitioners can be sometimes helpful but whilst the pandemic, they offer telephone appointments , so you get a different practitioner each time . I was sick and needed help. I called and booked for a doctor's telephone call and each time was a different doctor. I didn't mind this but it was the fact that the first doctor I met in physically in a different medical practice told me that it was going to last for a week and if not to contact my GP. So I did after two weeks but each doctor after each week of calling told me that I should rest with some medication. After a month, I called and finally got a referral to a specialist. I currently don't know if the doctors were right to dismiss me so quickly as I have not heard back for the referral but it was very infuriating how the clinicians weren't very responsive to my issues even when I told them that my pain was lasting for more than a week each time I called.

Suggested improvements
Train your reception staff to be aware for racial discrimination and train them to maybe not be racist toward people who look different. I gave her the legal paperwork's and she still need to question him in a language that he doesn't know. And speaking louder in broken English doesn't make a person suddenly know English. It just makes them feel inferior while you feel superior . It's disgusting. Also if the practitioners could be more responsive to the patient's issues and explain why they believe that theyve taken the course of actions that they did, then I think I wouldn't be as angry as I am. Finally, please fix your answering voice machine as everyone who calls at 8am cannot make any appointments. They're no information when to call back so it's likely that not everyone will get the appointment they need.

This is a complaint regarding the aloofness, and treatment of my son ,i am not a patient of your surgery, but i am his next of kin ,and i am named on his records. Over the past 4 weeks my son has needed advice, the first week he ,rang your surgery 4 times, got no help , He rang the 5th time and was told you have rang a lot this week, whats wrong this time?? against my great fear regarding the current situation, i advised him to ring 999,he did, paramedics took him to hospital and he was admitted . On discharge,he was told to make an appointment for a blood test at your surgery, which he did have,...further blood test were requested.. His legs, deteriorated, he was struggling to walk, therefore nurses were sent to his home over the weekend of 5th, 6th, and 7th. June but struggled to get blood. they were coming out to him on Monday 8th. {he was told they needed to get blood {because it could be a blood clot} but instead got a phone call from your surgery to say no nurses were coming to take his blood and he had been DISCHARGED. if he needed any help to go to the hospital ?? I am disgusted that the situation has not been resolved ..just left in abeyance. i rang your surgery twice to speak with practice manager, WHO WOULD NOT SPEAK TO ME , she just left your receptionist to keep repeating her self that matters have to be in writing ,i explained to her that ,time maybe of the essence, if this is a blood clot NO TIME TO BE WRITING LETTERS, my phone calls were recorded at my end, this is not the first time i have had to make complaints regarding lack of treatment ,regarding my son,, having viewed your reviews, and spoken to people, this surgery leaves a lot to desired ..

4 weeks trying to get an appointment that Dr. Smith told me to make. There booked up or I have to ring back. 14 calls yesterday and the line was busy. Receptionist really rude when I was in there. I was standing there for 5 mins waiting on there to finish there conversation with people in the line behind me. A few times I haven’t been marked as been in there even though I have checked in with them. People with appointments after me going in before me. Really badly run. No care what so ever about patients.

Extremely unhelpful staff at the reception, as well as some of the doctors. They think patients are their to disturb them in their chats between each other’s. But the worst think that can happen to you is doctor Dev. She is rude unhelpful without even a trace of empathy, everything is a huge hassle for her and she is not listening to patients at all. Personally i think she cheated on her tests.

Reception staff are rude beyond words. Appointment system is a joke. When you finally get past the rudeness and unnecessary wait thankfully you do get seen by professional members of staff. I would be embarrassed if that was my front line staffing team. The practice manager seriously needs to start again with a new reception team.
