The only tiny negative area I have about the Health centre, is that when you call to make an appointment/enquiry, if you need to be placed on hold, sometimes the Receptionists don't say please! That's it. Pathetic, but if you're being asked if you wouldn't mind holding the line, a please wouldn't go a miss Currently from one or two Receptionists - Sonning Common Heath centre can you hold the line? Others - Sonning Common Heath centre can you hold the line please? Please makes such a difference :0)

I would just like to say thank you to Nurse Catherine Cassidy . for the great care patience and understanding of her patients needs. it was fantastic to have her help and guidance supporting our brilliant doctors . with helping me understand my insulin and meds . Her knowledge and know how and explanations are very much appreciated . please can you see to some sort of acknowledgement is passed on to such a great member of the health centres team Thank You from Mr LSR

Clean and friendly practice with a variety of clinics for blood tests, diet and selected light procedures are carried out in house which means the patient need not visit a hospital for those services. There is also a dispensing pharmacy in house. Appointments are given at relatively short notice.

I had recently suffered serious burns to my face, hands and knees (caused by petrol). As you can imagine, this was not a good time for me, but the nurses as Sonning Common were unbelievable. They gave me reoccurring appointments for dressings, made sure that I had all the correct dressings and creams, and pulled in Doctors whenever they felt the need for a second opinion. What was most comforting was the way they seemed so unconcerned about the fact that my knees were in such a bad state. Unlike at hospital when I kept getting nurses come and have a look before walking away with horrified looks, the Nurses as Sonning common just took it all in their stride - I was less anxious because they were and this helped more than anything. I am so grateful for what they did for me. I'm now back on track and feel extremely proud of our NHS. Thanks Simon Forbes

Sonning Common Health Centre is an excellent Surgery. My family and I have been patients for more than 30 years and many of the doctors have been resident for the long term. Without exception, all the the GP's provide the very best care and support and subsequently it doesn't matter who one sees for an appointment, so I can't even pick a favourite. The ethos of the surgery is shared care, involving patients in our own care/health choices and a promoter of healthy lifestyles and preventative care. The nurses, reception and pharmacy staff are both competent and very personable.
