Very grateful for next day appointment at Physiolistic in Henley for a MSK assessment of my knee. Sonja was thorough and competent. I have been given 8 weeks of exercises to do at home which have already relieved some of the problem. Many thanks for efficient service.
I just want to thank Sommon Common Health Centre doctors and staff for the excellent service they provide. We count ourselves very fortunate to be amongst your patients, particularly in view of the stories one reads about other surgeries and the problems patients have in accessing help and appointments. Well done!
I have never had a problem with getting to see a doctor if I have any concerns about my health, obviously there probably is a delay if you ask to see a specific doctor. Recently I required a doctors note so that I could see a specialist via my private healthcare, I was given an appointment for the next day. I have a regular appointment that I have in the treatment room, recently I had a slight nightmare where I turned up 40 minutes early for my appointment. I was sure my appointment was for 08:30am, however, when I arrived I was told it was 09:00am. Whoops. Sister Milroy missed her early morning cup of tea when she arrived at the surgery so that she could see me much earlier than I was scheduled in for. The staff at the surgery will go out of their way to help when possible, I appreciate what they do, especially since taking on many more patients due to another surgery in Caversham closing.
I called the surgery this afternoon for 2 reasons, firstly a blood sugar blood test and secondly a kidney blood test. I am now on 2 x5 mg Ramipril tablets that I take just before I go to bed. You are aware I need to have a new blood test 2 weeks after starting this 10mg dose. You suggest the Royal Berks Hospital, however the earliest appointment is the 29 March.
This leaves me with no alternative to go back to 1 tablet of 5mg if the NHS are unable to give me an appointment for a blood test in the 2 week timeframe.
Also the Tamsulosin tablets have not changed my overnight getting up for a pee. It’s almost if I am storing up water that needs to come out. Last night I was up 5 times!
Please may I have an appointment with a doctor preferably Dr Muncey within the next 6 work days.
I would be grateful for a rapid response.
Thank you
Mark Chappell
After phoning 111 about my baby I was told I needed to phone my doctors, it was 18.20 on a Friday evening and I didn’t think I would get very far knowing the surgery closes at 18.30. After speaking to a very friendly and helpful receptionist I had a phone call back from doctor McKinley within minutes. Doctor McKinley was so helpful and didn’t rush me after listening to my concerns about my baby. We had a good chat and I felt so comfortable talking freely and not being an over worrying mum. I got sent some helpful information straight away and I cannot praise doctor McKinley enough great service and a lovely person
