I will always give credit, where credit is due. I’ll also be very vocal and honest if I find something is amiss. As a whole, this surgery is excellent; I’m extremely lucky that my family and I are patients here. Equally, I will complain when there is a need, and for me, there has to be a real problem for that to happen. I’m grateful I have a fantastic GP. Fortunately, I rarely need to use my GP surgery. Due to a very silly accident whereby I suffered a painful burn, the surgery have been exceptional, changing my dressings frequently and promptly seen, meaning that I am not wasting precious appointments at A and E. The nurses have been superb, I must give Vicky the recognition she deserves…. The dressing, the cream she applied, the level of care … she went above and beyond. I know if I need to speak with a GP, that this is a surgery I can wholeheartedly rely upon. Dr Kelvin has not only looked after my parents over the years; he has been a massive source of reassurance and knowledge when I have needed help and advice in relation to my young son. To be honest, having a surgery I can rely upon for illness or injury, is beyond priceless. For this reason, at this point in time I give Selsdon Park Medical Practice 5 stars and above!

Absolutely speechless from my experience with this surgery within the past 12 months. Have never ever had concerns whatsoever until the past year. Have been with this surgery for beyond 20 years…. In the past 2 years I have experienced problems. In the last 8 months, I have had 3 appointments cancelled by the surgery (2 of which were arranged by them) the most recent appointment being a smear test which I know is currently a hot topic. Quite frankly, disappointing and beyond dreadful. Am actually asking the surgery for alternative venues for smear test. Speechless doesn’t even cut it! Can’t believe how much this surgery has gone downhill within a year. I’ve learned to sort my health issues out myself.

The help, support and advice I have received from this surgery over the past few months has been outstanding; this is the surgery as a whole including the doctors and the receptionists. I have been a patient at this surgery since I was 18 and I'm nearly 39. Throughout the many years as a patient here, I would happily say that the service and the level of care is excellent and first class. I have recently been diagnosed with a skin condition that has had quite an impact on my daily life. I had an appointment back in November with Dr Kelvin and he was very thorough, and really listened to me and addressed my concerns. He is very caring and highly professional, and even though it was unrelated to my appointment, he checked my thumb which I had slammed in the car door the previous day!! Dr Kelvin referred me to Dermatology as there is a photo therapy treatment available which can help various skin conditions. Long story short, the person I saw at Purley Hospital was not helpful at all giving me a small piece of notepaper with the diagnosis on it and told me to go off and do some research! She hadn't even acknowledged the request for UV light treatment telling me simply that my skin condition will 'burn itself out'. (separate review on Purley Hospital's website!) This experience just served to highlight how lucky I am to be a patient at a surgery that has such efficient and caring doctors. After doing some research, I found that St Thomas' Hospital have a specific clinic related to the skin condition I have. I contacted the surgery, and requested that I be referred there instead. There were no questions asked, no issues, no stress, I literally received an appt date for St Thomas' two days later. Repeat prescriptions have been approved very quickly, and I would also like to thank Dr Velani who offered me advice on the phone (after I spoke with a very helpful receptionist) the other evening re my medication when I was having a particularly bad day with my skin. Thank you, I think you all do a fantastic job.

Very long waiting time l, doctors don't care. All these NHS staff are just in it for the high pay and gold plated benefits. Ripping up the public purse. Especially the receptionists who are very rude. Don't know how they are still working there!!

Very poor service and very rude staff. Long waits and make you rush in your appointments. They are trying to get away with the least amount of work and looking at ways to make additional sales. Wouldn't recommend to anyone due to the sort of service levels they offer. Also not very caring and bothered about patients, who are actually in need of support in difficult times
