If you can physically get to the surgery to sit and wait for an appointment then great. However, if you are too ill to manage this then the system falls down. If you are at death's door or just want a routine appointment then you are accommodated, but if somewhere in between it is extremely difficult... Not the fault of the reception staff, or the doctors, there is simply too much strain on the NHS. Everyone at Saxonbrook does the best they can in very difficult circumstances. Thank you for everything that you do.

I wasn't happy with my care I didn't want a appointment ( as its so hard to get one anyway didn't want to waste it someone else could have taken it) I wanted only sum thing added to my blood tests so didn't have to go down twice!!I felt like I was a nuisance and utterly upset as I thought I had a good rapport with the doctor! now I'm thinking I do not want to go back to him at all.and I probably won't and will see if I can go without seeing anyone unless I get appmnt wiv another doctor for 10mins who will not have time to read up on the years of information on me!!,i have had to live with this unknown condition for a longtime and have sumtimes felt I don't want to go on!I have saved the NHS a lot of money as have paid private for most of my tests and treatments! while waiting I also,and many others overheard the receptionist tell a young lady in queue who asked if could see nurse there wasn't any appmnts to go home and ring a ambulance!! What kind of message does that send to other patients!! If I hadn't been feeling so unwell that day I would have taken her myself!!i hate complaining it's taken me over a week to write this,doctors are suppose to listen to patients how ever I was made feeling not worthy off being there !!

If I want an appointment then I have to make sure I call at exactly 08:30, and then hit redial over a dozen times before the phone even begins to ring to join the 20 minute queue for an appointment. I appreciate that this is a peak time, but mostly because of the same day appointment policy that is in place. There are too few appointment slots for future dates which forces everybody to scramble for a same day appointment. Today, after assessing my symptoms on NHS direct website, I was advised to call and request an emergency appointment - which I did. Despite explaining that I had been advised to obtain a same day emergency appointment, I was only offered a next day phone appointment.

Great service at a very busy surgery. Receptionist was very polite when dealing with some very tricky matters and gave all the patients the same level of service. Dr Taylor was a very polite and competent doctor and I would certainly be more than happy to see her again. Receptionist was extremely apologetic when I was trying to book a blood test due to the fact a staff member was off sick and I would have to wait a little longer than normal for an appointment. No need to apologise, we are all allowed to be sick, including medical staff !

I booked for my smear test and was looked after by Beverly Owens. This nurse was extremely professional and caring, she made an wholly uncomfortable but necessary appointment happen with dignity and minimal discomfort. Her gentle advice was most welcome. Please pass this onto Beverly and again thank you.
