I joined this surgery last year. When I joined I was told stories about the surgery but I thought I would register as I had to move from my old surgery because we were out of the catch meant area for our old surgery. The receptionist are very rude and you always have to wait ages at the desk. I also find one of the nursing staff is very rude so much I made a complaint but I think nothing came of it as I had no feed back from the complaint. When you do phone you can’t either get an appointment as by the time you get through they have all gone. I have no choice but to stay at this surgery but am not happy.

I have used the surgery facilities for about four years so have seen both the previous doctors (who resigned en masse) and the new current group. Getting appointments has never been easy and in order to guarantee a same day appt. To be seen by a doctor queueing at 07:30 outside in the rain and wind is necessary. Things are changing however, If an appt. With a doctor is not totally necessary, access to other facilities is relatively straight forward and for review of medication I was called in to see the clinical pharmacist who works in the practice. It made me appreciate the wealth of expertise now being offered within the group to support the overworked gp's. The clinical pharmacist is a breath of fresh air and where a review is all that is necessary she represents a very significant member of the team. I was also provided with a six month prescription to be called off monthly so that waits for scripts to be signed is now in the past. The receptionist I spoke to during a visit this week was not only very pleasant but confirmed she was pleased to meet me as soon as I got to the counter, this attitude and greeting changes everything hopefully for even the most vexatious of patients. I give the practice 11 out of 10 for their continued efforts to improve. It's not easy to stop a tanker and turn it around and it takes time, the sit and wait system for patients recently introduced is another sign that indeed the tanker has turned and is headed in the right direction, we can all complain, I have done in the past however I see a very different practice and hope the changes continue positively in the future. Well done to those responsible.

Why can’t we have an appointment on line, England are doing that. Electronic prescription is available every where. Do something with the people who works in reception Most of them they don’t like to help and they make our life difficult. You

The worst GP practice I've ever come across, They never answer the phone even when you're phoning for results but you can't get them any other time. It's ridiculous that a purpose built building doesn't have a phlebotomist there so time is wasted by collecting the blood form then having to ring to make an appointment at Colwyn Bay hospital. If anyone is thinking of joining this practice then I'd say AVOID it like the plaque unless your absolutely desperate!!

It's impossible to get through via 'phone and when you eventually do so, it can take a couple of days, the advice is to pop down early am 7:30/8amin future !! To queue in line outside!! Unbelievable advice if you're unwell. Goodness knows how an elderly person or someone who needs prompt medical care or advice is supposed to cope if within surgery hours. My husband was ill last week and I had to take him into hospital where he was promptly seen as he was quite poorly and with an chronic health condition also It just wasn't good enough really. No one picks up the practise 'phone! It's very difficult to even change appointments or to make one. I've tried emailing to convey my concern but interestingly only the co practice replied. I find it really quite worrying and am looking to change Dr asap.
