I like the way you can phone to make an appointment on the day. I dislike the fact that you are not always able to see a same sex doctor unless you prebook.

I do not think the doctors are very good. They do not listen because they spend too much time typing information on the computer, and the information I have found, is normal incorrect. My long standing medical condition is NOT flagged up on the computer, so when I have an appointment I have to go through my history all the time as the doctors are ALWAYS changing. The Doctor I see today will not be there on my next visit as they will have moved on. I hardly see my own doctor even though I have been told to only see him. I phoned for some blood test results and was told by the receptionist all was fine. I asked to talk to a Doctor about them which she arranged with no problem. Speaking to the Doctor I was told one of my results was on the limit and normal the test would be done again to which he said nothing. I was the one who said, “ Well lets do it again”. “Oh do you really want too ?” came the reply. You MUST just push, push and push to get tests etc done, but I suspect this is normal for the NHS as they try to save money

It is easy, the surgery it's Dr's & staff are completely professional & friendly, they give that 100% to make your visit easy. I have only been living in Peacehaven a year now & love it, I was lucky that someone recommended this surgery to me & I found Dr. Ranawaka. I honestly can say, I cannot think of anything they should do to change.

This is probably the most frequent complaint. Getting an appointment is far too difficult. If I ring to make an appointment, it is because I have an immediate need. To be told that the next appointment is in 10 days us no use to me. I ended up going to the hospital for treatment to see a specialist nurse. I felt guilty for doing that as we are told over and over not to waste hospital time. But what can a person do, if they work full time and the only time they see the GP is first thing in the morning or after 5.30pm? What I ended up doing in the past is not going to the GP because I couldn't get a suitable appointment. I then collapsed ended up with a week of work, a poor sickness record and increased stress! I would like to manage my health so I can keep on working and not be a burden on society. But if I can't see a GP when I need to, it makes things really difficult. More late surgery tines for workers and possibly Saturday mornings for those with long term chronic illnesses.

Thank you for your feedback. We do offer early morning appointments on Tuesday and Friday mornings and late evening appointments on Mondays and Wednesdays to help patients who are working. We offer on the day appointments every day and when the appointments have all been booked we always offer on the day telephone calls with a Doctor who will then call the patient in to the surgery if needed. We are constantly reviewing our appointment system and are in the middle of expanding the Practice, having just built an extra room and looking at a system called GPACCESS. We are also set up for on line bookings and ordering of repeat medications. We appreciate your comments and will be continuing to review our appointment booking system. Extremely well run and organised surgery. All the staff are exceptional in their positions and I am extremely grateful for the care and kindness shown to me during my many visits.
