I rang first thing as I needed possible stitches to an open wound. I was given an immediate appointment, was seen stitched (10) within half an hour! Then have had excellent care (two follow up appointments) Nurses and duty doctor.
The practice nurses have been amazing in treating my leg injury, over the past 10 weeks. It stems from old injury about six years ago and there have been times during that period and since when I have had to return when I have knocked it again. The nurses have at all times been marvelous in treating me. They are a love;y group of nurses. Thank you. Had my last hopefully treatment today.
Both I and my wife are patients and both the doctors and medical staff are all excellent in the care they give. However, getting to see them is always a problem. The system where we need to be telephoned by a doctor who then decides whether we merit an appointment is a disaster for us. We are only reachable by mobile phone and stay in a place with patchy or no signal. This means that we must take a walk up the nearest hill or drive to a local town and hope that we get a call. The call often does not arrive or arrives when we're driving and can't answer. As we cannot call back that means we either wait where we are and hope the doctor calls us within a few minutes or carry on and possibly miss the next call. Last year when my wife had a similar problem the american lady at reception quickly organised an appointment with a doctor who was in and free but so far she has been the only one who has helped with our problem. Neither of us are people who run to the doctor with every complaint and when we do want to see one of you it's for a real reason. I'd appreciate it if you could give us a solution to this.
Impressively efficient, speedy and accessible service this morning at Riverbank Medical Centre with Saturday morning clinic for flu vaccinations. It had been easy to make an appointment and we were in and out in five minutes. Delighted with the service and grateful for such a first-rate medical centre in our town.
The surgery offers good service from both doctors, nursing staff, and reception, but my one gripe is that it is always difficult to get through on the telephone to make appointments whether for a telephone consultation or for a nurse. When I am able to do so, I try to make on-line appointments. If only there were more telephone lines, or more staff to answer them, it would be perfect.
