It’s a shame the doctor refused to provide me blood test so I can control my Lupus What interest it’s make money to provide chemicals to put inside your body when you can be dealing with you diagnose

Had a telephone appointment with Dr donnovan she spoken to me like I was dirt on her shoe, very rude and unhelpful. Left me feeling distraught as the reason of the phone call was under distressing circumstances.

Received a phone call from one of the doctors about my test results, she basically screamed and spoke at me down the phone rather than spoke to me. Couldn’t get a word in edge ways and more or less called me a liar when I was trying to discuss previous health related issues. Absolute sham of a surgery. Avoid at all costs !

I have not long moved to risedale surgery, i had only moved due to it being closer than my original doctors, what a mistake that was. I had my 1st smear test taken out at the old clinic, ( I had previous ones at my old doctors) and I was so disappointed, it was almost like having a smear done in the back street, it wasn’t respectful or professional, the curtains were left open whilst I was to undress, it was just really bizarre, very grim and such a strange set up. My previous doctors were very professional and it was just an entire different experience. How ever I did appreciate the fact I could call in to the surgery and request a phone call back or an app as this was great if you didn’t have minutes to phone, and as a rule the receptionist staff were lovely . How ever since the move to the new building it seems the receptionist staff have had an upgrade on there attitude, as some one with a NVQ2 in customer services I found the reception staff very rude, and surly they have a duty of care and most of all manners to the patients who access there services , It clearly states in writing that the staff will not tolerate abuse , and my self as a patient expects to be spoken to in a decent manner also . I had explained that I had walked down to the surgery a number of times over the space of a week and a half and that I am in pain and can’t keep on coming to the surgery to not get either antibiotics or an appointment with the doctor , on two occasions they told me the doctor would call to whom didn’t bother to call me at all on either occasions , I had explained I can’t call due to being on hold for fifty minutes and only moving two places down in the que , I was only at position four after fifty minutes to which she snapped “ we are busy “ . Despite my continuous waste of time walks to and from the surgery, I still remained incredibly understanding incredibly patient and polite , yet the receptionist couldn’t compose her self . I received a phone call from her later that day telling me to come back down to the surgery and still during the phone call I was polite and yet she still remained obnoxious. Rise-dale please send your reception staff on a customer service course. If they don’t know how to speak to the politest of people don’t have them seeing to your patients. After all it is the receptionist who service users see and speak to first before your GPS. I can assure you this is very off putting and doesn’t do your surgery any favours. I was in pain and still managed to hold a respectful conversation despite my frustration .. your receptionist was sat on her bottom looking rather uninterested and as though she had better things to do ! She told me go to Choc , and I’m pretty sure choc charges the surgery for each of there patients who uses there services, I thought why would I go to chock it’s 9.30am and I’m here to arrange either the next app or to have a phone call as soon as the gp gets a moment . I only needed my antibiotics extending . If the GP bothered to skim my record properly they would clearly see that my issue has been a regular occurring one for the past thirteen years . I required one of two things an appointment or antibiotics . Would have saved me a great deal of time and effort and your receptionist having to do what clearly seems like too much hassle for her .

The reason I gave 3 stars is I struggled to get through on the phone to prescriptions for 2 days but I guess that’s teething troubles with moving to the new health centre Make sure you read the screen and what room number when your name comes up cause it doesn’t stay on the screen long.
