After 6 years, still no answers I have left the surgery due to rude staff, being past around from doctor to doctor and well as different medical buildings - it made me feel as if I was a pain for them to see. But this week was the final straw-having already phoned for a doctors appointment three weeks prior concerning my coil and never getting a doctor to phone back to me. I again phoned back for an appointment as I was sure my body was not normal and possibly rejecting my coil, no doctor bothered. I asked for an emergency removal due to extreme pain and bleeding- the closest they could do was three weeks time, no one would even check on it- a week later with the bleeding just getting worse, the cramps getting worse (the very reason I had the coil inserted) as well as my anxiety causing my whole body to shake- mainly right leg and right arm when walking. i phoned the doctor and asked again for a doctors appointment or at least a phone call back for a doctor to up my anxiety meds if they couldn't remove it any sooner. To be told that my anxiety shakes are in my head and i am just putting them on to get attention. to also be told that my coil would be fine and it wouldn't have moved. The day later my coil fell out, due to me being in pain and bleeding my dad phoned the doctor who then phoned us back 3-4 hours later and after my dad told him about how rude he was to me the day before he then completely changed. Booked me in for an appointment for the next morning to sort it out- on arrival we found out in fact that both the doctors were off that day. And after changing doctors surgery my new doctor actually told me it is unclear how long i was unprotected for. And was shocked that my previous doctors had not been checking it regularly.

I was a bit frustrated that I had to wait for a call back from the GP - but when he did ring me he listened to my issue and offered me an appointment that day. When I saw him, he was very kind and gave me the tablets I needed. It would have been nice to have a time he was going to call me back as I had to walk around my office (I could not get the time off work) with my mobile phone - not wanting to leave it behind in case I missed his call. Thank you Dr Ivan.

I have been a patient at this surgery for over thirty years and have found all staff to be very helpful. Any treatment required has always been fully explained and all questions have been answered in a manner that is easily understood. Doctors and nurses never rush you and will always listen. Reception staff are always helpful and considerate.

As always, Doctor Sachdev provided excellent medical care, support and advice. The automated switchboard and receptionists were great, dealing with my particular shortcomings whilst setting up the necessary phone and surgery appointments. Unfortunately the touchscreen booking-in gadget was on the blink but the human beings overcame. Hopefully it will be possible to get the gadget to return to the consistently good service of the people. What could improve the overall service of this excellent health centre? Sufficient availability of doctors nationally so they could recruit Ringmead Surgery's desired quota. Sufficient funding to match the practice's and patients' needs.
