Absolutely disgusting service from Ravenscourt surgery. Prescription not there even after a doctor phoned to say it was, 3 days previous? So surgery had lost it. This happens every month. I don’t know how this surgery is still open

First off I have been a patient for 36 years I suffer with severe arthritis in my hips knees and ankles, I'm actually house bound. I have a running problem with ravenscoury surgery, my Dr a bloke called roper will not give me enough medication to last a month they supply 28 days not 29 30 or in fact 31 days. Problem is if you put in a prescription in before the 28th day they will not fill it. O it takes them up to 3 days to process a script then it might take a further 2 days for the chemist for fill stock the items that's 5 days over the 28 days supply of tablets I have asked them nicely to increase the tablets to cover the 5 days but the idiot doctor just replies with a note saying DR WILL NOT INCREASE THE AMOUNT, leaving me without pain killers for up to 5 bloody days. My carer has just received a snotty letter from raven court in ref to them loosing my recent prescription put in on a Monday and not signed off on a Friday you just cannot get it through to the idiot receptionists on the front desk not happy with the quality of health care by the doctors or the receptionists.

I would advice reception staff that patients get anxious and yes on occasions irrate but instead of being defensive to reassure patients that they will do the best to help get them a appointment or at least reassurance from a doctor, reception staff need to rember their not doctor their on reception to help patients book appointments and not to argue with anxious patients, patients can be rude but receptionist I thought were not supposed to argue with patients

This surgery is in the process of merging with Vale Family Practice. Aug 2017. I moved from Ravenscourt a few years ago because of the terrible attitude to patients by the staff on reception. The doctors were continuously changing and at one point I saw a doctor who had his very young child in the room whilst he was consulting me. I moved to Vale Family Practice a well run surgery with receptionists who went out of their way to be kind and pleasant. My son was today told that Porthceri surgery was only for very serious illnesses and he had to go to Ravenscourt where he was met by a rude, obnoxious woman telling him he had no appointment. When he spoke to Porthceri who offered to resolve this situation he went back to Ravenscourt and was told it made no difference and it wasn't their fault. Receptionist at Ravenscourt need to learn manners and understand that a simple apology goes a long way. My son is not rude and has been brought up to respect everyone he comes into contact with, young or old, the receptionists at Ravenscourt need to learn this respect.
