I wish to applaud Queen’s Medical Centre with ‘a gusto’! They are all working “flat out” in these particularly difficult times and circumstances. They all, are human beings with feelings, and they demonstrate courtesy and kindness at all times. Ever heard - treat others as you wish to be treated yourself? These staff deserve to be treated with praise. I was misdiagnosed in 2020,, but the Doctor didn’t just dismiss me. I had a telephone call a couple of days later, and she’d obviously shared her consultation with me, with a colleague at Queen’s, and forthwith was called for a referral. This resulted in surgery in about eight weeks. I am so grateful to Queen’s Medical Centre! My husband, aged 86, is a frequent visitor at the surgery. He requires blood tests every 1 - 2 weeks, and there is never, ever any problem in securing an appointment. Moreover, he had had a leg ulcer recently, and he has been going to the surgery weekly for quite some time, to have it dressed. He’s been taken care of so well, that at last, his ulcer has finally healed - thanks to the care and dedication of the nurses. As far as the reception staff is concerned - none of them are rude. If one is rude to them, what do you expect? I’ve always found them very courteous and helpful, and if you don’t dictate to them, they will listen, and then find a solution somehow. After all, they have supervisors who provide them with policies which they are obliged to adhere to - they don’t make the rules personally - they are only doing their job! Do you realise how many telephone calls they are receiving every morning, and I happen to know they have about 6 to 8 people on the switchboard at one time. The phone calls amount to hundreds every morning. I could go on ‘singing praises’ to Queen’s Medical Centre, all day. They are all overworked and doing their best. They are a dedicated staff, who, each and every one of them, deserve to be treated with kindness - after all, they don’t work for their own health - like everybody else - they work to live. So far as the Doctors are concerned, I know they are bound, and live by the Hippocratic Oath they all sign on qualifying. They are not robots, but caring and dedicated staff, who for the love of their profession, go ‘the extra mile’, each and every day of their working lives. God bless - and grateful thanks - to you all.

There is nothing you can do better - other than things beyond your control, like having more money to employ more doctors to help deal with your overload of work.

Queens medical centre is one frustrating visit after another, from appointments being made and then cancelling minutes before your due to go in, to appointments being made letters being sent for specific appointments, I attend and then told it’s to early and the procedure/ medication can’t be given. There’s little to no organisation between the reception and admin staff. I come away feeling angry and disappointed more often than not.

I first met Dr Newth in June 2014 although I have been registered with the Queens Medical Centre in 2006. My experience with Dr Newth has been excellent. He has always shown me respect and has listened to me, and made me feel that he cared. Dr Newth would always explain things to me and options for treatment. He did not judge me or make me feel that I was wasting his time. He gave me the confidence to speak about things that were concerning me. The receptionist I spoke to this evening when I had to make further appointments was friendly and helpful and fitted the further appointments around my working hours.

The nurse was friendly, welcoming and informative. I was able to relax, which helped for blood pressure being taken. Everything was explained and issues resolved to my satisfaction. Well done all round.
