My wife has severe hay fever. She has been told there is a jab to help treat the hay fever as she is already on more than the recommended amount of medication for hay fever. She went to an appointment where she was given a final amount of medication before being rebooked in for another appointment for the jab. Today she went in for the appointment only to be told that someone had cancelled the appointment off the system mysteriously. Then when she wanted to rebook she was told the next appointment was 3 weeks away. In the current heat wave, not ideal. Especially as whilst this was going on the doctor she wanted to see came out of her appointment room to get something and said hello to my wife. My wife then asked if she could at least get some more medication to see her through but the receptionist unsympathetically said it’s not a repeat prescription so she’d have to see a doctor to get a prescription. My wife then walked out very upset as she suffers badly in this weather and has been offered no help from the rude reception staff. This is generally the attitude from receptionists from doctors I’ve been to in the past in Herefordshire. I would say though the doctors are fantastic normally. As a side note the sister surgery to quay house is in credenhill and on my last visit there, when the receptionist was asked if there was additional seating due to the main waiting area being full she said ‘yes there are some at the back of the surgery just be careful because of the collection of dead flies by the window’
