I contacted the surgery on Thursday 28th stating I had a heart flutter and dizzy. The receptionist then asked me if I had an headache which I said no and then she asked me if my vision went blurred to which I replied yes on one of the attacks but not all of the three. She stated someone would call me back I didn’t get a cal back just a text saying someone would phone within 21-28 days. I was very upset with this as she did not ask if I had pains in my chest or difficulty breathing but I presumed a doctor would later that day. I then sent a letter of complaint stating all this and haven’t heard anything back. Clearly have not read the content. To my horror I received a phone call today from the surgery, Thursday 18th stating I put a referral form in on the 28th July about a bad eye and blurred vision ! I explained the situation and my disappointment that mistakes are being continuously made at this surgery and thankfully it was not a heart attack. To this I got “I am sorry about this and will pass this to the manager”. And an appointment made for 5 days time. I feel very let down and I appreciate mistakes are made but writing blurred vision instead of heart complaint is more than just an error. I never mentioned my vision this was the receptionist not myself so how she put the wrong information down is unbelievable and dangerous

Suggested improvements
Put the correct information down and don’t trust receptionist to diagnose people as they are not qualified. Thankfully I am ok but this could have been fatal for someone

I've had advice from medical practitioners in the U.K. and Canada that I should be referred to a dermatologist. But the doctors at the Prory know it all, and refuse to refer me. So after a year of pain and treatment by a drug that is carcinogenic, I still have no resolution. This lot are just after the money Gordon Brown gave them. Go any where else for medical care

I found it very difficult to get through to the surgery as there is a central call centre, so i didn't get through to the surgery I wanted, which led to a lot of confusion as they couldn't tell me where my prescription was, I requested my prescription at cornlands road and told them my local pharmacy would pick it up from cornlands road but my request was ignored and was issued at the surgery I am registered with then it was dispensed at their own pharmacy, (isn't that directing? Which is not allowed). Apart from all the phone calls (which can take forever to get through) this led to me running out of medication, this has happened on more than one occasion. Also information seems to differ from surgery to surgery perhaps there should be one set of rules for all of the surgeries. The doctors and nurses generally are very good but further training, all the same should be given to the receptionists, and call centre staff.
