I had health concerns regarding a drug i was prescribed following possible TIA as was beginning to have a bad reaction and needed advice as to whether to stop it or alternative given. Receptionist put ne down for a phone call the following day in the afternoon. I had one phone call not allowing me time to get to the phone. Rang surgery again, and Reption told me the Dr. had written on my notes he had rung me 3 times with no reply. my phone records call and this was untrue. I asked then if he would phone me that afternoon, I received no further call. I have no complaint regarding the receptionists they did what they were asked to do. Had to make my own decision and came off the blood thinner. now just over a week later have had no response to my email of complaint. It is bad enough almost impossible to get face to face appointments, but lack of Duty of Care, when not even receiving adequate advice over telephone, which has been my experience, and falsifying records in as much as stating rung me three times with no reply.

Suggested improvements
By employing permanent Drs. instead of so many locums, we never seem to be able to get the same one twice, since Covid things have gone from bad to worse. Gone are the days of the likes of Dr. McInnes etc, when I for one felt confident and we saw Drs. face to face. I wonder how many conditions are going wrongly diagnosed, due to telephone diagnosis as is becoming the case in the News.

I was off work due to stress at work (bullying) and stress at home my partners recent brain surgery. I unfortunately had to attend appointments with Dr Karen Schraeder. She did not once ask me how I was or if I was okay even on the occasion I was sobbing in her office and really struggling to cope. She asked me how long I wanted to be signed off for. That was the level of input and interest in me as a patient, in my health and the care I was to receive. I was so low at that particular point I cannot believe one human could disregard another in this way, particularly a Doctor. I think her practice is dangerous and disgusting. I felt worse for having attended the appointment that if I had not bothered. I have amazing friends and family support thank goodness as I don't know what this potentially could have done to someone who does not have access to support network such as mine. Desperate and shocking that this practice allowed within the NHS.

I attended an appointment with GP Karen Schraeder due to pain in my hands. I was asked what I thought it was and had anything happened. I said nothing had happened and I did not know why they were sore hence making a GP appointment. She did not look, ask to see my hands or make any further enquiries and told me to take paracetamol. I really felt she was not interested in me or my situation at all, she has no warmth and greatly lacks any social skills. It was a very awkward, unpleasant and uncomfortable appointment. She made me feel like I was just wasting her time. Over 18 months later I still have pain and discomfort, arthritis is now being explored as a potential cause. I am only early 40's.

Does this Medical 'Health' Practise get any better? 'Nope!' For one, receptionists seem to think that they are more important than the patients, and that in this surgery they are all powerful! i.e. can perform a diagnosis, refuse to let you see a Doctor, or Nurse, no matter your state of health or health history! My partner who has a life-threatening brain illness and other serious medical conditions, was in Agony yesterday, had been for 3 days, all she wanted was to see a Doc. or Nurse, she was told NO, and to come back next day! She was at the surgery after NHS 24 told me to get her there! I am beginning to wonder, what is the purpose of this surgery is in 2018!!!

It is a shame that the practice is really struggling now that Dr Beg has left. He was a great doctor and was very understanding. He also showed acommitment towards his work and fulfilled his oath to treat patients correctly. I am very grateful to him as if it hadn’t been for him I would not have made it.
