I telephoned today to make an appointment at the triage clinic, for urgent appointments. I was offered an appointment at 8.300 or 9.30. I telephoned at 8.am.! then I saw the doctor at 9.30, she was very pleasant and helpful. I then had a query when I left the surgery. I telephoned the receptionist, who was very helpful, who said she would inform the doctor of my query. The actual doctor herself telephoned me back an hour later and answered my query. I was very I was very impressed with this service. We have been with Portland medical practice for 5 years and cannot praise all the doctors and recptionists enough. We always get an appointment with a doctor within a few days.

We moved to Aldridge in 1981 and used the practice since it was in Portland Road. We used it as a family and now just my husband and I use it. We have never had trouble getting an appointment, even if we have not been able to see our registered doctor an appointment has never been lacking. All of the doctors are lovely and the receptionists knowledgeable, efficient and polite, the centre itself is modern, spacious and a pleasure to go to. We have always considered ourselves lucky to live in Aldridge and be registered at this health centre.

Very helpful to be able to have tests at my GP practice rather than attend a hospital out-patients. The procedure was explained well and useful advice was provided by the nurse practitioner.

when you phone you should be able to talk to someone but when you phone Portland Medical practice 9 times out of 10 your put on to a recorded message that says your in a short que and will be answered shortly.I have been on the phone on occasions i have waited in this so called short que for over 20 minutes and still no answer it a disgrace what about if it were an emergency??
