Awful establishment, if I could have left 0 starts I would have. Haven’t been able to get a face to face appointment throughout the whole of COVID19. It’s now August, less than 20 people are dying a day out of a 66 million UK population. What kind of farcical operation is being run here? I’ve had to make alternative arrangements & source a private appointment who are more than happy to see me. There’s at least 8 GP’s at Portland Medical Practise but they don’t want to know. Disgusting & I’ll be reporting them to my local MP. COVID19 is killing people in their 60’s+ who mostly have pre existing health conditions. What about the rest of us? 20 or less deaths a day at this stage (August) is just not a good enough excuse to effectively shut the NHS. If you value your health, move to another GP’s.

I write this review on my experience with my appointment with Kate friend. My visit was was a total waste of time. Basically told go home come back when the pain gets worse. Will not be visiting her again. All the other nurses and doctors I cannot fault. I don't go to the doctors very often only go when something is really getting me down. Basically the pain I'm in I felt she just didn't care.

I've been with Portland for the past eleven years and overall they provide a helpful and friendly service in quite a busy environment.

This review centres on one person, that is Katie Friend. I have had to have several blood tests over the past few months and the first time I met her, she appeared sullen and unfriendly. I know that everyone has bad days and put it down to that. On consequent visits her attitude did not improve, in fact it seems to have got worse and the last time I saw her, she actually shouted at me. I was shocked to say the least, there is a notice at the surgery stating that abuse will not be tolerated but it should also work the other way around. Katie told me on one visit that she was unhappy in the job and was looking for other employment (she has also told my husband the same thing), I think she should do just that, she does this excellent practice a discredit. Katie seems to think that as blood test appointments are on a one to one basis, no-one will ever know how she treats patients but I am sure I'm not the only one she has upset and I hope they will make it public. I will make sure that any further appointments will be with Jackie, a lovely lady with a great personality, Katie could learn a lot from her.
