Since moving to this Drs I have struggled to get an appointment for me, my partner, and my 2 children. The only way to get an appointment is to tell them its an emergency. Each time I ring it takes approx 10minutes to finally speak to a person. Its fair enough you get through to the correct area of attention you need but then once you are directed you are subjected to a phone that rings for ever and left wondering if anyone is actually there. When in the surgery there appears to be only one receptionist for a very large surgery. When my daughter was seen I asked for a pain killer for the pain she was experiencing and was politely told by the Dr that I can BUY some paracetamol suspension from any supermarket, and informed that it costs the NHS £10 each time it is prescribed. And that this is the way it is because this is not a deprived area. All Children are entitled to FREE prescriptions whatever there back ground is, and I feel especially when those who work are those who contribute to make the prescriptions FREE for children. Generally the surgery is ok, and staff are polite. I expected a better service from this surgery.
