I was trying to get a first appointment for a GP and after filling in the forms i was asked for photo ID and proof of address. I presented my UK drivers licence that has my photo and my address. I was told by the receptionist Maria that my drivers licence only valid as photo ID , i would need to get a bill or a bank statement as proof of address. Its ridiculous as my drivers licence full fills the requirements. I would like to suggest that UK drivers licence to be both proof of address and photo ID.
