My daughter has been a patient via the university for nearly 3 years. About 18 months ago she was diagnosed with epilepsy. She suffers with daily seizures, Peverall Park has continuously questioned both my daughter and her consultant about her medication and doses even though they have it in writing plus my daughters copies of letters and drug programme, they even go as far as to question her consultant instructions. Today the doctor refused to give a prescription for her medication because its a "unique drug". It's not, I've checked the drug is openly available in all doses, my local village pharmacy has it in stock and there is no restrictions on it. Tell the truth I know the drug is expensive! Is that her fault? Does she deserve to be upset by these doctors again? What exactly do they expect her to do now? It's bad enough she has to wait 2-3 weeks for an appointment, put up with rude receptionists then have a doctor treat her with no compassion and brush her concerns aside as if she's worthless and wasting their time. Even her consultant has questioned their competence when he has had to write several letters confirming the same medication doses. I'm disgusted.

I last went to the surgery last December and talked to the doctor about pains in my joints that keeps happening, and let them know of the numerous illnesses that I could inherit and straight away the doctor said you dont look like a person with these illnesses. Even though they are based on problems in the blood and internally. I then said to the doctor that if I'm lucky I only get 3-4 hours sleep each day. The doctor told me as you get older you need less sleep ( I'm only 22) and I should just live with it. After this I went back home to their surgery and straight away when I told them of the illnesses I could inherit they sent me to the hospital so they could take bloods. Also I have to book 3 weeks in advance and with my on going illness I need to be able to book an appointment to see a doctor within a week and a half. I have seen about 5 doctors since being here since September and the only professional I liked was a lovely nurse. The others all made me feel like I should not be there and that they don't understand the basics that even I know.

Totally unsatisfied with the care given at this Gp practice. I have had several problems including having to wait 3 weeks for an appointment when I have a long standing illness and it was important, the receptionists are rude and very unhelpful and a Gp not diagnosing a problem which then lead to me having to seek the treatment of the 111 service at home. I am moving back to my home Gp because I don't feel this practice is trust worthy or competent.
