Share review of Pemberley Surgery
I have been with Pemberley Surgery for over 30 years and can honestly say that the care and treatment I had over the years was excellent. Until now. What has gone wrong. I find it hard to believe that the Doctors are allowing the reputation of an outstanding Surgery to be ruined.
Now you have to wait 3 weeks for an appointment and that may not even be at your own surgery. If you don't drive it can be difficult. If you need an urgent appointment you get a phone consultation to decide if you need to be seen or, as you often wait all day for a call if you are worried you have to go to the Walk In Center or A&E which defeats the purpose of having a registered doctor. These days the Receptionist are rude, surly and unhelpful yet they use to be so good and nice.
The surgery is still good if you have a long term illness like Diabetes as the Nurses experienced and nice and you get great care and you can plan our appointments in advance but if you need to be seen reasonably quickly then forget it. You might as well go to the Walk in Center.
I would like to make helpful suggestions - I think the idea of a phone consultation is great and could be offered as an alternative to a "live appointment" and also I understand you have a resident Physio now. But really the best suggestion I could make would be to go back to what the surgery was doing before your merger. I have not found a single benefit since the change. In fact it has caused a lot of distress and actually put members of my family at risk on 3 occasions.
If you could explain what the benefits are suppose to be. Are they for the staff or for the Patients?
