I am a carer for my partner and got an appointment for her to try and get help for her as she struggles to walk up the stairs and also struggles to step into the bath so she can get a shower.i was asked by the doctor if i had worked all my life and i said yes the doctor then asked if i had any savings and i said no she then replied you havent got any savings in a sarcastic manner. Well the reason why i havent got any savings is because i have took any job throughout my life a lot of them were low paid jobs rather than be unemployed just like a lot of working people these days but i have got 50 years of national insurance contributions.when you go to see a doctor to get help for a patient you dont expect an arrogant uncaring attitude from a gp as not everybody is on a gp s wages and they should remember that before they look down at the carers of people
