I called today for an appointment to see a doctor but was told a triage doctor would ring .e back, which he did, he asked if I had contacted a pharmacist first and I said no as I didn't think he would be qualified as my problem was not on the list I had seen. His reply - you should have called him and not bothered the GP, he was so rude to an elderly lady calling for help! If we are not to 'bother' the GP what are they actually here for? There are now far too many obstacles to hurdle in order to see a qualified doctor, I had to diagnose myself to get a prescription for my problem , it was not diagnosed or checked by a physician, what happens if I was wrong? Why are our doctors now unwilling to do the job they chose and trained for????

Remember that your patients will be worried, vulnerable and HUMAN BEINGS not a number on a list and the hypocratic oath you used to observe!
