It’s like pulling teeth getting an appointment these days. Same procedure every time and hard to get an appointment even for two weeks time. I gave up and a few days later tried again. I spend half an hour on hold on the automated system. Ring the receptionist instead and told them again that the automated system doesn’t seem to be working and then get the standard advice. I have to ring at 8am to try and get one of the next appointments released with the doctor I want, can’t get through of course next morning because everybody else is ringing and I wonder how many people get fed up and don’t bother in the end and the trouble is at 8am in the morning I am trying to get child off to school and get to work so not easy to make a call then, miss the time slot again and another few days go by. This website is called ‘I want great care’, the doctors are fine once you can get to see them it’s just far too many hoops to jump through to get to see a doctor.

Booking a routine GP appointment used to be a perfectly straightforward affair. You'd call up and speak to someone, or use the automated service, and book the next available appointment at a suitable time. These days, you aren't allowed to book more than 2 weeks in advance. Instead, you must call first thing in the morning and fight with everyone else when the next batch of appointments is released. If you try the automated phone service, it will always say that no appointments are available. If you use the online service, you might be lucky and see one appointment. There is absolutely no choice of date, time or doctor.

The doctors are all ok, some very good in my opinion. particularly Dr Ruox and Dr Stanley. its getting to actually see them thats the problem. Appointment waiting times are appalling, literally weeks. The surgery is oversubscribed, housing developments in Ashford have meant the population has boomed but the infrastructure hasn't been able to keep up. At this surgery the automated appointment systems are poorly implemented and not managed well. and good luck actually speaking to a receptionist, you'll be on hold and in a queue for 45mins. The reception staff are a mixed bag, personally i've never had a direct problem with any of them they have always been helpful enough if i ever actually get through to anyone but pretty much everyone i know who goes to this surgery has a tale to tell. The surgery its self is clean and i actually think the staff do their best but they really need someone high level to come in and shake things up a bit because its a nightmare for anyone attempting to be seen.

I’ve been here since April 2016 it’s an absolute joke to get to see a GP appalling service and I been trying to get my son registered and. Husband absolute joke here stop taking on people not within the area would be a great idea maybe get them on a list in there own area free up the space for patients who actually live here
