Best docs this side of Merseyside tunnel.
I have been with this surgery over 40 yrs, I have seen pressure grow on the doctors, ok let me say this, if you can get passed reception then the doctors are simply perfect all of them, my doc Ray m is best doc in town, I saw doc Robinson today again perfect, so before everybody kicks off about them, please think they have a life as well, they are all working there selfs into to ground without many thanks, come on all you bloody patents get behind your doctors let them no they are truly appreciated of which they are, well in my eyes, thank you doctors bless you all, Paul Pretty,
They keep messing up prescriptions and leaving me without the medication I need. I was booked in for a telephone apointment but waited all day and it didn't come. I phoned reception and they said the doctor would ring the next day but they didn't then either. I'm left in sever pain with no help.
As a patient for up to 2 years it would be obnoxious for me to recommend this surgery to anyone I have a thick Irish accent which is hard to understand at the best of times but this surgery makes no effort to listen I have actually resorted to recording a call we’re the doctor spoke over me the entire call he asked twice ‘what can I do for you’ then continued ignoring and dismissing anything I said.
I would strongly urge anyone with private sudden tragedy’s to keep them to themselves when it comes to this surgery because they will dismiss and shut you down which depending on you as a person can make your grieving process worse.
This surgery has proven to me to me judgmental and even speak amongst each other about me as a patient you will rarely get the same doctor it’s hard to get a doctor and when you do good luck.
I have requested 3 times two by email to be removed from this practise they were all dismissed and they requested I get an appointment today which was nothing short of poor medical practice in terms of empathy and listening skills they have none.
I have been a patient at the New Dover Road Surgery since 2012 and I would like to recommend them. At the moment, during the Covid pandemic, I visit the surgery twice I week to see one of the nurses. I believe I have seen all the nurses over the years and they are all kind and extremely professional.
I have also seen all the GPs over the past eight years, I miss Dr McWilliams, who has retired. The doctors I see most often now are Dr Mulvihill and Dr Fahy. I am happy to see anyone but as I have many things wrong with me it helps if I can see someone who knows my problems. Lately all GP appointments have been by telephone.
Like any GP's surgeries, they are busy and it is not always easy to see a particular doctor but they seen to have a system that allows urgent problems to be dealt with promptly. For less urgent appointments we may wait a little longer.
