I feel that I am well cared for when I visit the Dr - the main problem is that there is often a long wait to get an appointment. They nearly pull the stops out when chasing up hospital appointments.

All of the doctors at this surgery are prepared to go above and beyond the normal; and always seem able to fit appointments in, in an emergency; especially Dr Williams whose level of patient care is fantastic. The receptionists all do their absolute utmost to assist wherever possible; and never fail to deliver on their promises. In addition they are always a pleasure to deal with. I would not hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone.

Sorry, but this practice has really gone downhill in recent years. If you can get an appointment ( very unlikely unless you are willing to wait 3-4 weeks) you're fine, because the drs are excellent, it's getting to see them that's the problem. Recently when I was sick I was told in no uncertain terms that I didn't stand a chance of an appt, & to go to the walk in surgery 8 miles away! My mother, who is 81 with a heart condition was also told she had to wait 3 weeks to see a Dr. I feel that we will have to change our surgery sadly as I am worried about my Mothers care. Also, the nurse practioner. Surely the money would be better spent on appointing another Dr, as when you're sick you are worried, & it's a Dr you want to see.
