This surgery is a joke, it takes easily over 50 phone calls to the surgery before they even answer. 9mce they do the chance of.getting help is low and the chance of having someone be very rude to you is basically just part of the service. I have no idea who my GP is as they change so often. No one has a clue what is going on and you get a different doctor everytime you go. Bit is a real mess and I know myself and others have suffered and will continue to suffer because of this surgeries poor practice. If it has not been the cause of someone dying yet then it is just a matter of time. People here are putting off seeing the doctor because they know how much of a pain it is or simply because they cannot get an appointment. We are tired of hearing covid as an excuse for poor medical care. If you want to prioritize a cold over someone in the critical early stages of cancer care then Shame on you

Ever since I have known this surgery,it has always been a nightmare getting appointment, at a point I feel I don't even know who my GP is,it's always scary trying to get an appointment for fear of disappointment. Even when you get through the receptionists have made the mistake of thinking themselves god's and access your medical history which goes against a lot I know about confidentiality. I choose to ignore this however I feel another surgery needs to be opened up in West Mersea, sometimes when people think and know they are the only ones in the island it gets to the head ,but should another surgery open up only then will you see them sit up because they know they would lose patients. The after care service Is poor ,most times I have had to diagnose myself because I know the GP appointments are never available. I really regret not being able to find another surgery that's easy to get to on this island.

I know there is covid and etc however , stop using it as an excuse not to see patients who really and desperately need to see a doctor , do better ,listen to your patients because you need us to function and if you don't see the reviews on Google which I wish I read first before registering at your surgery. Your receptionists need to be kept in check and to know their place , and to stop probing and trying to force patients to disclose personal information with them over the phone,I get it they need a hint of the illness but to be aggressive and nosey in their tone is wrong , you are working there to help relay our messages to the doctor , etc and yet you treat the caller like you are talking to your ex boyfriend or something. It's not right . My health declined horribly since a failed medication from your surgery, I was told by many to sue the surgery but I don't have that time but hopefully one day the bunch of other people who have said the same will be bold enough to sue you guys for your misconduct and the way you treat your patients. The preferential treatment is appalling.

Recently registered after moving from London and was really impressed with the facilities. The receptionist was welcoming and helpful and I was able to be seen very quickly on the same day as registering which would be unheard of in London.

The doctors are nurses are fantastic but the receptionist's are the rudest people I have ever spoken too. They are rude and unhelpfull, I will be changing surgeries as I've had enough.

I moved to West Mersea from East Herts earlier this year. My recent experiences of this surgery have been excellent. Its restored my faith/confidence in the unique patient/doctor relationship. I'm a public sector worker myself, not NHS, and possibly appreciate the demands on you. My experiences are of a speedy referral for physio following a shoulder injury - I'm doing the exercises and now on the mend and also a meds review where you looked beyond just that, but at my overall health. I received good timely advice. Thank you and keep it up.
