I just wanted to give feedback on my medication review with the clinical pharmacist Kimberly. She was really lovely, very knowledgable and involved me in decisions about my medication.

Would give no stars if I could. Practically impossible to speak to anybody and achieved this on one occasion. Dealt with a bolshi person who I assume was a receptionist who advised me to go online which I did, achieving absolutely nothing. Unfortunately this is the only surgery in Peacehaven, which I find incredible for a town of this size. In my six decades of life this is by far the worst medical centre I've encountered. Shameful.

Can never get appointment call get told call back in the afternoon or in the morning. The fact you have tell receptionist all about your problem if say personal their say you have to tell them first is not right and the whole services is going down hill .

I have lived in Peacehaven for some 36 years and have been registered as a patient at the surgery since it first opened on the current site in Porta Kabins with Dr Etherton, since retired. There are serious administration issues at the surgery, both in trying to contact the surgery via its appointment line and in the management of repeat prescriptions. For years I have had my repeats passed to the Co-op, now Well Pharmacy, but despite numerous telephone conversations, discussions with the nursing staff and a letter marked PERSONAL to one of the partners, to which I received no reply, my last six repeats have been sent to a company in Dartford. This is not only frustrating and time consuming for me, but also a waste of time and resource at the surgery, which serves only to add further telephone calls to what is already an under manned telephone service. In my view these errors demonstrate a severe weakness in the administration services provided by the surgery and a serious lack of training and understanding in the systems that the staff are expected to use. It worries me greatly that the surgery is now planning to merge with another surgery in the Peacehaven area, in particular as they seem unable to manage the patient load that they have already.

I know these doctors are under pressure due to Covid , but speaking to Dr Gurtler in a telephone consultation made me feel I was wasting his time and that it was an inconvenience for him. I was surprised by his abruptness and lack of empathy, and when I mentioned another problem I was having , he seemed somewhat annoyed that I even asked him, making the remark that all these people with 5 or 6 problems, he did not have enough time in the 10 minutes allowed. I was somewhat upset by his attitude even though he told me to come to the surgery, I felt that I couldn’t go because by then I didn’t have any confidence in him, so I declined. I have spoken to other doctors, Dr Starling and Dr Dare in the practice before and I have nothing but praise for them and the reception staff who I always found always helpful.
